Scheduled Release track features update 5/10/11


The following features are now available to these domains:
Google Docs List:
- Folder uploads that maintain the folder structure
- An upload page that’s integrated into the Docs List
- Settings that remember your conversion and OCR preferences
- The ability to drag-and-drop files to the Docs List for upload

Google Spreadsheets:
- Image upload: Upload images from your computer, the web, or your Picasa Web Albums into Google Spreadsheets.
- Small changes to the Menu options

Google Sites:
New Web Fonts to customize an entire site

The following features are intended for release to these domains on May 17:
Google Docs:
A link providing users the ability to upgrade documents that were created using the old editor, to the latest version of the editor. Users can preview the conversion first.

Color code your events in Google Calendar

You can now categorize your events using colors.

How to access what's new:
Click on an event and click the colored square in the top left corner of the pop-up bubble. Only you and people with edit access to your Calendar will see this color coding.

Version 3.2.25 of the Google Apps Connector for Blackberry Enterprise Server is now available for download with the following:

This version adds a feature that supports Gmail’s "Send As" functionality on BlackBerry devices running through the Google Apps Connector. Users can now specify a “Send As” username just as in Gmail on the web.

To enable this feature, download the newest version, and add a DWORD Key "SendAsEnabled" with a value of 1 in HKCU\Software\Google\Google Apps Sync\EmailSync.

Need more contacts in Gmail? Contacts limit now increased to 25,000

You can now store up to 25,000 contacts in Gmail. Additionally, we’ve increased the size limit for an individual entry from 32KB to 128KB.

Google Calendar Sync now supports 64-bit Outlook 2010

You can now sync your Calendar to 64-bit Outlook 2010 using the Google Calendar Sync tool.

Editions included:
Google Apps, Google Apps for Business, Government and Education

Languages included:
US English Only

How to access what's new:
Install the tool and set your sync option and frequency. Existing users will need to download and install the new version in order to be able to sync with 64-bit Outlook.

Note: Google Apps for Business, Government, and Education users can also sync their Calendars and Email using Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook. Read more on our help center.

New features in Google Sync for mobile devices now available

The following new features are now available with Google Sync for mobile devices:

- Service On-Off integration: Admins can now turn Google Sync on/off for organizational units in the administrator control panel.
- Send-Mail-As: iOS devices can now respect the ‘custom from’ feature set in Gmail settings

US English only (Next Generation Control Panel)

How to access what's new:
In the Administrator Control Panel, go to “Organization & users” then “Services” and select the specific organizational units you want to enable or disable Google Sync, and select the appropriate on or off setting for that group.

Image upload now available in Google Spreadsheets

You can now upload images from your computer, the web, or your Picasa Web Albums into Google Spreadsheets.
